Donated new yard roof

Donated new yard roof

We would like to say a huge thank you to Wye valley group, GTaccess limited, and Central group roofing and biulding services, for donating their services, to install a new roof over the stable yard. Whilst we were closed for the summer, they have taken down the old roof and put up a new one, which would have cost us thousands to do. They have done a brilliant job and we would highly recommend their services. When we left for our holidays our roof was very leaky and falling in, we have come back to a dry yard, which means…

25th year celebrations

To celebrate our actual Anniversary we had a hours hack, in which we went for a lovely hack up above Holme Lacy House. It was a very warm day and we came back to enjoy drinks and a beautifull cake, which was made by Sue Griffiths. Through the week we had a number of groups who came to see us. They were able to look around the yard, have a go on our mechanical horse, and sit and watch the lessons that were going on. They enjoyed some drinks and anniversary cake whilst chatting. Herefordshire RDA took five riders to the RDA nationals at Hartpury on the 15th of july 2017, they had all qualified for the countryside challenge. This year we took sixteen riders to compete on seven horses, in twenty five classes. Two of the horse's were Jackie North's horse Cookie, who was doing his first RDA competition, and Steph Boyce's pony Daisy, who was doing its first competition. Cookie had a good start to his competing career, but sadly Daisy went lame. Daisy is now fine after a rest, and Steph was allowed to compete on one of our horses instead, which was great. A sad but fitting day for Leah Bradshaw and Shamrock, as it was their last day with us. we wish them well for the…

March the 19th dressage

March the 19th dressage

A great day was had by everybody, the day stayed dry. Many of our riders had their first experience of riding in another arena, which they coped with well. What was lovely to see is how everybody supported each other, and new friendships were born. Due to the number of our clients who wanted to compete in the intro class, the college kindly created our own section within the class. Ryan Gwilliam came 1st and was overall in joint first place in the whole class which was very good. Daniel Bailey 2nd Jackie North 3rd Stephanie Boyce 4th Zara Roberts 5th…

College dressage on 20/11/16

We would like to thank the college for allowing our staff, volunteers and clients to take part in their college dressage competition. This was a great opportunity for our riders to experience competing with in their familiar school, but with outside judges and against other riders. Some of our riders have never had the opportunity to compete before, so they have learnt how to read a dressage test and memorize it. They have also learnt about what preparation is needed prior to the competition, to full fill their full potential. I would like to thank all staff and volunteers for…
