Coronavirus Update

Please see the statement below from David Harding for your information:-

Yesterday, Monday March 16th, the Government urged people to work from home and implement social distancing measures to keep people safe as possible.

RDA UK is now strongly advising that all RDAs cease activities unless groups can put in measures to meet the guidance on social distancing.

Social distancing means trying to avoid contact with other people, and spending less time in public places, where a lot of people are around.

HRDA Trustees have fully discussed this challenge and have concluded that we cannot put in place robust measures that would keep people safe, and we have therefore, taken the decision to close the Centre immediately and for the foreseeable future.

You can read the government guidelines on this here:

Our staff, Claire, Paige and Emily will continue working. We will use the closure period to maximum benefit.

Claire and Paige will care for our horses rostering their time so that cover can be provided across 7 days. In the event of staff being quarantined, Claire will seek help from volunteers to assist in looking after the horses.

Cost reductions are already being explored and actioned. We will, and need to take this opportunity to raise funds to help us through this difficult time.

Staying safe

Most importantly, we urge everyone to prioritise their own health and wellbeing. This is an unprecedented situation for all of us and there is probably still a lot of change to come. We will provide updates as the situation changes for us.

We wish you all the very best of health and good luck in the coming weeks, and look forward to a brighter future, and quickly.

Best wishes,

On behalf of the Trustees and Staff

David Harding, Chairman of HRDA
