Half term Halloween fun

Half term Halloween fun

Halloween half term activities included a own a pony day, where riders got the chance to be involved in the day to day care of their pony. we had a lovely big group which enabled riders to meet up with old friends and make new ones. During the day they all had a group riding lesson and  went out for a hack along the old railway line. Whilst out we collected apples, so that everyone could give their pony a treat, which they all loved.

During the week we took a large group out for an hours hack. This is great as it gives riders the opportunity to ride further than in their regular half hour lessons. It also means we have time to ride up above Holme Lacy house, its a beautiful ride up to the top of the hill, where you can see for miles.

On the Friday we had a Halloween based gymkhana, where the riders played various games. These included games in which the riders had to build skeletons, find presents in the pumpkins, musical cones and many more. The riders were very competitive and showed off all the skills that they have learnt in their lessons. It was great to see riders coming out of their shells and having fun with their brothers and new friends.

To finish the week off Leah and Charlotte organised a Halloween Disco. They decorated the school with lots of ghostly things and set up disco lights for an evening of dancing and games. Lots of pumpkin soup was eaten and raffle prizes won, by the merry  revelers.
